Emergency Situations

Rules for emergency care:
Do not preform procedures you are not licensed or certified to do.

DON’T PANIC!!

Follow standard infection control procedures.

Know where to find emergency supplies.

Assess the client’s respirations, pulse and if they are bleeding.

Never move a client! Unless absolutely necessary. This may worsen their condition.

NEVER be afraid to call for help.

Do not remove a client’s clothes unless absolutely necessary.
